VERNON Kay has given his pearls of wisdom on keeping a marriage alive.
The former St John Rigby pupil, who is married to Strictly Come Dancing presenter Tess Daly, said it was important to have a night out together.
He said: “It’s important to have date nights.
“It might not be going out to dinner but a night where you can just be with each other because having kids and being busy, you forget that.”
The star said they have to ‘work’ at their seven year marriage, juggling being parents to Phoebe, seven, and Amber, two.
And proud dad Vernon said his girls have inherited their parents’ showbiz genes.
He said: “Whenever Strictly Come Dancing comes on, Phoebe takes to the middle of the living room and you see Amber running around flailing her arms all over the place dressed up as Tinkerbell.
“It is so cute.”
