CHILDREN were brought back to the sinking Titanic as part of a musical extravaganza.

Pupils from Our Lady and All Saints RC Primary School worked with Lancashire Sinfonietta and actors from Burnley Youth Theatre to perform The Wreck Of The Titanic, a musical celebration for the 100th Anniversary of the disaster.

The concert commemorated the memory of the Lancashire-born bandmaster of the Titanic, Wallace Hartley.

The youngsters used music played on board the ship as well as original music they composed themselves.

The performance was sponsored by Douglas Music with the support of a grant from The Rainford Trust.
