VERNON Kay is the face of a new game show hosted by a puppet.
The upcoming series That Puppet Game Show will be hosted by a character called Dougie Colon (pronounced Cologne, from the creators of Jim Henson’s The Muppet Show.
And the soft fuzzy man has been based loosely on former St John Rigby pupil Vernon Kay.
The series will see the felt character joined by celeb contestants including Jonathan Ross, Richard Hammond, Jack Dee, Tess Daly, Gary Lineker, Claudia Winkleman, Katherine Jenkins, Freddie Flintoff and muppet model Vernon taking part in challenges.
The format will see two celebs up against each other in a number of bonkers games to try and win £10,000 for their chosen charity.
Each game will be based on subjects such as sport, science, celebrity, nature, music and mental agility and will be hosted by a different knowledgeable puppet.
Colon said: “I can’t wait to get stuck in to the new show.
“We have a whole host of celebs joining us and I can honestly say that they will never have seen anything like this before!”
That Puppet Game Show will debut on BBC One later this year.
