What appealed to you most about the property? We were attracted by its convenient location in a quiet cul-de-sac off the main road, and liked the layout, particularly the spacious kitchen-dining area, and the large bedrooms.
How long have you lived in the property? Six years
What have you done since moving into the property? Renovated the kitchen, replaced the bathroom and en suite, installed new flooring on ground floor, landscaped the front garden, created a small vegetable plot, and redecorated throughout.
Why are you selling? We’ll be relocating to another part of the country following retirement.
What is your favourite room and why? I love sitting in the conservatory, watching the birds feeding and planning what to grow in my vegetable plot. I also like using the fourth bedroom which I use as a study.
How close are the amenities? We’re conveniently placed midway between Billinge and Orrell, close to the motorway network, and on the main Wigan-St Helens bus route. There are excellent local schools nearby and plenty of countryside walks to do from the house including Billinge Hill and Orrell Water Park. There is also a very useful convenience store within a few minutes walk.
To whom would this property be best suited? It would suit a range of people - families who would make use of the big bedrooms, or a couple who would appreciate a quiet environment.
