A WIGAN man has been arrested after police seized drugs worth more than £1m.
The unnamed 56-year-old was arrested after a raid on a house in Downall Green Road, Bryn, at which 20kg of a white powder suspected to be amphetamine were recovered.
The search warrant was executed after officers from Lancashire Constabulary arrested two men on Tuesday evening at an address in Firbank, Bamber Bridge, where 17kg more of suspected amphetamine was recovered.
The Wigan man, a 38-year-old from Bamber Bridge and a 39-year-old from Leyland, were today being quizzed by detectives, who had arrested them on suspicion of possession and intent to supply a controlled substance.
Det Insp Graham Coates of Lancashire Constabulary’s Southern Division said: “The two raids and three arrests that have been made are a result of a protracted enquiry into the supply of amphetamines in Lancashire and surrounding areas.”
