A fish 'n' chip birthday

A 100-year-old woman celebrated her birthday by working in the fish and chip shop she set up nearly 80 years ago.

Connie Brown and her late husband Sidney opened Brown's in Pembroke, west Wales, in 1928.

Despite the fact she has now reached her centenary, Mrs Brown was determined to work in the shop on her birthday, and arrived at 9am, as she does six days a week.
