POLICE say it is pure luck that no-one was seriously hurt or even killed after vandals cut down an electricity pole.
It was just before midnight on Thursday, February 17 that the wooden pole near Coronation Drive in Leigh was felled.
PC Mark Bingham from Leigh Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “No damage was caused to the surrounding area but we are concerned over people’s safety. The pole carries over 100,000 volts which could seriously injure or kill someone.”
Anyone with details can call police on 0161 872 5050 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
