POLICE are appealing for information after a man was left seriously injured in Wigan.
Officers were called to an address on Tunstall Lane in Pemberton, where they discovered a 49-year-old man with a serious head injury at about 11.10am on Saturday.
He was taken to hospital where he was treated for his injuries and was discharged.
Police have launched an investigation to establish how the man received the injuries and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Graham Clare of Wigan division said: “At this stage it isn’t clear exactly how the man came by his injuries, but we believe he may have been involved in an altercation with someone.
“I am keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a disturbance at or near the Tunstall Lane between 10pm on Friday 11 December and the time he was discovered.”
A man was arrested at the scene but has been released on police bail.
