Arrests made in arson probe
Police have arrested a man on suspicion of arson after firefighters were called to a blazing house last night.
Fire crews from Atherton, Leigh, Hindley and Eccles were called shortly after 8pm last night (Monday) to reports of a fire at a domestic property in Devon Street, Leigh, and tackled the fire for approximately two hours.
Greater Manchester Police, whoalso attended the scene, confirmed that a 40 year old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of arson with intent.
