THE condition of the victim of a brutal town centre assault has begun to improve over the last 24 hours.
Police have confirmed that the 32-year-old is no longer critical, however he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Two men arrested in connection with the incident remain in custody this morning and are continuing to be quizzed by detectives.
Emergency services were called to Revolution bar on King Street at around 10.45pm on Saturday after the man sustained fractures to the body and serious head injuries.
It is believed these injuries were a result of him being punched and kicked.
The bar was immediately evacuated and closed so paramedics could attend to him.
