Boxing event punches above its weight for charity
A massive £30,000 was raised by Wigan Youth Zone's annual boxing dinner.
More than 300 people, many from the business world, attended the event, which was organised by WYZ in collaboration with sponsor Wigan and Leigh Boxing Club. It showcased a night of sporting excellence which included 13 bouts involving representatives from the boxing club and pugilists frmo the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment and Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.
Professional boxers Stephen and Callum Smith are patrons of the youth zone and attended the event. They are seen here with WYZ general manager John Harker who thanked everyone who attended, organised and sponsored for making it such a roaring success.
