ONE of the North West’s leading public relations and marketing consultancies has relocated to Wigan.
Freedman Brown Communications, which boasts supermarket giant Tesco among its clients, has after 11 years in Preston, decamped to offices at Wigan Investment Centre near the iconic Pier.
Darryl Freedman, who co-directs the company with Louise Holcroft said: “The team at the Wigan Investment Centre were extremely co-operative from the outset and we are delighted with the move which we initially planned almost a year ago in line with the growing needs of the business.
“This marks the start of a new chapter for Freedman Brown Communications and logistically it makes a lot of sense for us to be based in Wigan which is much closer to the major regional employment hubs of Manchester and Liverpool.
“The Investment Centre ideally suits our needs as it provides quality office space at a reasonable cost with a great range of services and facilities.
“As a pro-active PR company we are perfectly positioned to meet the challenges of the future at a time when clients are looking for even more creativity and added value to help give them an edge.”
Ms Holcroft, a lifelong Latics fan, said: “Having been born and bred in Wigan I am delighted to be able to run a business in the town. We hope that more companies are encouraged to locate here providing quality jobs for local people.”
She also praised Investment Centre staff including property manager Alan Clare and property administrator Yvonne Aspinall for their enthusiasm and encouragement in attracting new creative businesses into the Investment Centre.
Mr Clare said: “We hope we can work together on future projects. We are delighted that Freedman Brown view the Centre as an asset to assist in growing their business even further.”
