A LAW firm has welcomed four new associates to its Wigan and Leigh offices.
The role is an award of recognition by the partners of Stephensons Solicitors to employees who have made a substantial contribution to the firm.
Associates are appointed annually, with promotions this year in the family, crime, commercial property, consumer, accounts and facilities teams.
The Wigan associates are Belinda Green, based in the family team, specialising in emergency court applications, divorce and private law, and Colin Rawson, a solicitor in the criminal litigation team, specialising in magistrates’ court advocacy, covering a wide range of offences.
Gareth Jones, deputy team leader, who deals with land and neighbour disputes and specialises in co-habitation disputes, professional negligence and debt recovery, and accounts manager Anne-Marie McCann are based in Leigh.
There are four other new Stephensons associates: Ceri Thomas is based in Bolton; Gillian Tuck at the St Helens office; Tim Galbraith in Manchester and Chris Graves in Bolton.
Company chairman Ann Harrison said: “It is always a pleasure to appoint new associates. The majority of our associates this year have started their career with us and progressed up through the ranks to become senior people within their teams.”
