Wigan businesses will have the chance to address any legal issues they have at the next Wigan Borough
Business Club event, next week.

The networking event, on Tuesday May 6 from 6.30pm at Wigan Cricket Club, is sponsored by Stephensons Solicitors LLP, who will have a team of legal experts on hand to answer questions on a wide range of commercial and personal legal topics.

Louise Hebborn, a partner in Stephensons’ Commercial department, said: “There are so many laws and regulations to follow in business, it can be tough to keep abreast of the latest changes, particularly for small businesses.

“Our panel of solicitors have expertise in a number of areas including employment law, debt recovery, commercial property, litigation as well as family and probate law. We’ll present bite-size updates on the important legal issues affecting businesses and business owners today and will then take questions from the audience.”

The Wigan Borough Business Club is run by a number of leading Wigan businesses and is supported by the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.

The networking event takes place every month and always includes a relevant presentation aimed at assisting small businesses, as well as the opportunity to network, with refreshments included.

There is a £5 entry fee for all delegates to cover the cost of room hire and food. Those interested in attending should register at www.wiganbbc.org.uk.

The business club aims to encourage the growth of business within its membership, by the dissemination of information and the exchange of ideas and to provide a friendly and informal environment where like-minded businesses can share experiences, meet new suppliers, and gain new customers.
