PROPERTY company HIMOR Group is offering one Wigan business the opportunity to win a FREE 18-month lease of one of their warehouse units at Bradley Hall Trading Estate, Standish.

The firm is this week launching a competition with the Observer to find the winning company.

The small unit, measured at just under 500 sq ft, will be offered free of rent and service charge for up to 18 months and comes with no obligation to continue the lease once the year-and-a-half is up.

If desired though, the winning company can discuss extended terms directly with HIMOR.

All the winning business would need to pay for would be water and electric charges, insurance and possibly business rates (albeit small business rates relief may be available).

The unit itself benefits from:

• Roller shutter access

• Water and electric connections

• Adjacent parking

• Being on an established trading estate

Paul Wrigglesworth, Associate Director at HIMOR Group and the Manager of Bradley Hall Trading Estate, said: “This is our way of helping a local business.

“We recognise that the current economic climate is tough for small young businesses.

“Some may have fantastic ideas and need a platform to build those on.

“This is a great opportunity for a company to grow their business with us and, hopefully, stay on the estate in the long run.

“We have the backing of Wigan Council and are really excited about supporting a business which, in future, may well provide new job opportunities.”

The competition is open to any business, although given the nature of the competition HIMOR is expecting the winner to be a small or new business.

Hopeful candidates are asked to submit a 500-word application providing responses to the following questions:

• What is the nature of your business?

• What difference would winning the competition mean to your business?

• What is the long term vision for the business (job creation, target markets)?

• Why would being located on Bradley Hall Trading Estate benefit your business?

• Are there any other factors which would support your case for winning the competition?

Applicants should remember to provide a name, company name and contact details (email and telephone) and are asked to email their responses to enquiries@himorgroup.co.uk or post them to HIMOR Group, Clarence House, Clarence Street, Manchester M2 4DW marked for the attention of Paul Wrigglesworth.

The deadline for applications is April 2.

If the competition is close between a few entrants, a business pitch may be required.

Once the deadline has closed, the entrants will be assessed on their written response and the winner announced in the Wigan Observer.
