A CARELESS driver who admitted causing chaos on a residential street while over the limit has been hit with a six-month driving ban.
Mario Scarpa, from Astley, admitted five charges relating to an incident in which he drove across the borough while over the limit before colliding with a fence and road signs in Tyldesley. The 31-year-old, of Coldalhurst Lane, pleaded guilty to all the charges against him at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court.
Kevin Liston, defending, asked for an adjournment while reports were prepared, saying it would help further understand what was a prolonged incident. Scarpa will return to Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court to be sentenced on July 11, pending a probation service report. He was released on unconditional bail.
