POLICE have released CCTV images of two men they wish to speak to in connection with a theft in Wigan.

At 2.25pm on Friday June 5, two men entered Symphony Music and Technology Centre on Market Street, Wigan and approached the counter.

One of the men then reached behind the counter and picked up an Apple iPad Air before both walked out.

The first offender, who picked up the iPad, is described as a white man, in his mid-20s, around 5ft 7in tall, with very shortly cropped red hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured hooded jacket and dark jeans.

The second offender is a white man, in his late teens or early 20s, medium build with blonde hair. He was wearing a blue hoody and jeans.

Detective Sergeant Graham Clare said: “We believe this was an opportunistic theft, with these men taking the chance to grab the iPad while the shop assistant’s attention was elsewhere.

“We were able to track the device to Preston before it went offline, and we think it remains in that area.

“If you believe you recognise these men please contact police as soon as possible.”
