CHARLES GRAHAM - Another great escape?

WHAT a spirit-lifting performance by Wigan Athletic at the weekend.

I was beginning to wonder whether they would ever taste victory in the Premier League again the way results have been going this season.

But they were the better team and thoroughly deserved their win.

The supporters also merited a boost after hundreds chose to walk to the Reebok Stadium in aid of the Emma Hoolin campaign. Perhaps that helped to lift the Wigan players too.

Most importantly in this context though, it demonstrated that the Latics are still capable of another Houdini-style escape.
