A HEALTH magazine has named a meal served in three Wigan pubs as the nation’s least healthy sit down.

They claim that JD Wetherspoon’s Large Mixed Grill weighs in at a belt loosening 1,940 calories - or 77 per cent of a male’s recommended daily intake.

Clearly, Nouvelle Cuisine it isn’t.

Historically this is a region where customers demand value aswell as quality when eating out.

Most don’t appreciate feeling the need for a bacon sandwich supper an hour after they get home.

But ultimately you pay your money and you take your choice.
