Highs and lows for MP Burnham

It's been a mixed week for one local lad – MP Andy Burnham.

The Culture, Media and Sport Secretary was at Wembley on Sunday to watch his beloved Everton beat Manchester United to reach the FA Cup Final.

But 24 hours later he was in the doghouse after leaving confidential papers on a train.

Embarrassingly, the passionate Blue was unable to apologised verbally for his blunder because he had lost his voice cheering on his heroes!

But despite the lack of vocal chords, he managed to apologise and say the incident was unacceptable. The Department for Culture, Media and

Sport said that although the papers were classified as "restricted", they did not contain sensitive information.

TV bosses everywhere will be delighted to know their new projects and plot lines are safe for now!
