Kym bound for Hollywood?
Rumours are circulating that Kym Marsh may leave The Street for Hollywood.
Her boyfriend, Jamie Lomas, is to quit Channel Four soap Hollyoaks, and it is believed he is set to fly to the States for meetings with TV and film bigshots.
A source close to the couple said: "Some prominent directors in Hollywood want to meet Jamie – but there's a lot of interest in America for Kym too."
The pair were devastated last month when their 18-week premature son Archie died within seconds of his birth and close friends believe the move could help them deal with their loss.
A source said: "Kym is contracted to Coronation Street until next year, so she couldn't feasibly quit until then and wouldn't want to either.
"But the chance to start a new career in Los Angeles might be just what she needs after losing the baby."
A spokesman for Coronation Street said: "Kym is 100% committed to the show. She has no plans to look for work in America or to live there."
