COULD you be a cheerleader for Wigan Warriors?

The team will be holding auditions for the 2012 Berkeley Warrior Girls at the DW Stadium next week.

The club is looking for confident girls who have dance or acrobatic experience, who are enthusiastic and enjoy performing in front of a large crowd to help create a great atmosphere on match days.

The open auditions will be held on next Monday, December 12 between 6.30pm and 8.30pm at the DW Stadium. Attendees are asked to report to the main weception of the west stand.

Last year drew a large turnout with hopefuls hoping to join the group.

Applicants must be 16 or over as of February 1 next year and it is asked that on the day, girls are well-presented and dance-wear is recommended.

A registration form must be completed and a photograph will be taken on arrival. Applicants will be required to learn a dance and will then be judged in small groups against set criteria such as quality of performance and how quickly the performer learned the dance.

Performers will also be asked to develop their own short routine and to perform this as part of the auditions.

The Berkeley Warrior Girls are an integral feature of Wigan Warriors’ Great Night Out entertainment package and have become a firm favourite among fans.

The girls also feature heavily in community appearances at roadshows, on school visits and at special events, and they are featured in matchday programmes and on wiganwarriors.com.

Turn up on the night or you can pre-register interest by visiting the website www.wiganwarriors.com and enter full name and details.
