A FATHER-of-two from Wigan has died in an horrific car crash.
John Gregory, 49, of Winstanley, was involved in a collision with two other cars on Friday in Skelmersdale.
His silver Chrysler car overturned and landed on its roof in Grimshaw Road, near to the roundabout with Stannanought Road, at 3pm on Friday.
Mr Gregory was treated by paramedics at the scene, but they were unable to revive him.
Two other cars – a blue Volvo and a silver Audi – were also involved in the collision, but both drivers escaped unharmed.
Mr Gregory’s family today paid tribute to him. A statement said: “John was the beloved soulmate of Judith, a loving daddy to Amelia and Jacob, and stepdad to Chloe, Bradley and Jessica.
“We love you and miss you more than words can say. You were our life. A hole has been made that will never heal. Love you forever.”
Lancashire Police are investigating the cause of the accident, and are appealing for witnesses to come forward by calling 0845 125 35 45.
A 22-year-old man from Skelmersdale was arrested at the scene of the incident on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He was released on police bail until April 30.
