ROMANIAN guests put on a real song and dance during a visit to Wigan Town Hall.

The pupils showed off their performing talents and colourful national costumes to the mayor, Coun Myra Whiteside, during a day out from their exchange with Millbrook and Shevington Vale Primaries.

The intercultural project, called Celebrating Diversity, also saw the children given a VIP tour of Wigan Town Hall.

The youngsters, who return to their native country today, were applauded by teachers and Coun Whiteside.

Millbrook teacher Cornelia Taylor said that the children have been a massive asset to the school during their stay.

She said: “Our pupils have been very excited for the trip and are going to miss their new friends.”
