YUCK, what a mess!

Children from across Ashton were encouraged to get messy this week in the name of faith.

Sue Thomas organised the second messy church session – part of a series of events which see children getting creative while learning a religious message.

The latest session, which saw children from across Ashton come together at St Thomas’s CE School, saw the youngsters make slime helping to deliver the story of the Creation.

After the session, children take part in a short service to develop on the message they have just learnt.

Mrs Thomas said: “It is a fun and exciting way for the children to learn about a religious message, which is different at each messy church session.”
