THESE beaming youngsters have raised more than £1,000 for several charities.
Ten pupils from St Thomas’s CE Primary School in Ashton, took part in the Bupa Junior and Mini Great Manchester Run, collecting funds for a variety of causes.
Altogether the children, from years three to six, raised £1,250.
Nick Finch, who leads the school running club, said: “The children ran for their own charities and the amount raised per pupil was between £50 and £500.
“They are really pleased and so proud.
“The biggest thing is the fact that all ten ran the race and completed it, which is a big deal for children so young.
“As the person who leads the running club, I am so impressed with the pupils and the staff and their parents are thrilled for them.
“They did it in good time and really excelled themselves.”
