TRAVEL and tourism students from West Lancashire College are organising a range of Valentine’s Day events in celebration of the Day of Love!

Next Wednesday at the Skelmersdale campus from 12 noon onwards a Valentine’s-themed stall will be selling a range of treats and gifts and between 4.30pm and 7.30pm students will be hosting a romantically-inclined dinner. In collaboration with professional cookery learners, students have produced an appropriate menu and will be serving up a range of dishes in the Atrium. Tickets are available from The Imagery on 01695 52317.

The two events aim to raise money for Millie-Rose Heaton, a local two-year-old diagnosed with neuroblastoma, an aggressive form of childhood cancer. Funds raised for the Millie Rose Appeal will allow the youngster to access potentially life-saving treatments not currently available on the NHS.
