CRAFTY pupils at Byrchall High School have come up with an innovative way to show off their creative side.
Usually, graffiti on walls is scorned upon but the artistic youngsters at the Ashton school have decided to make their own in school.
Despite its negative image, graffiti takes artistic skill so using funding from the Youth Arts Challenge, the students created the word ‘science’ surrounding by all sorts of animal life and fluorescent colouring, painting a design that many believe was designed by professionals.
It has created quite a stir at the school.
Teacher Claire Williamson said: “The funding has allowed our students to create an alternative piece of art which can be enjoyed by everyone.”
