A MAN on a bike a pushed a woman and grabbed her handbag in Wigan.

At 1.30am on Sunday, June 7, the 24-year-old was walking home from a night out on Gidlow Lane when a man approached her from behind.

The victim suffered bruising when she fell and has been left shaken by her ordeal. We are determined to catch who is responsible but for us to do so, we need the help of the public

He grabbed her bag and pushed her causing her to fall to the floor.

The man is described as being white, in his 30s, 5ft 7in to 5ft 8in tall, had dark hair that was thinning on top, of thin build, wore dark hooded top and rode a dark mountain bike.

Detective Sergeant Graham Clare said: “The victim suffered bruising when she fell and has been left shaken by her ordeal. We are determined to catch who is responsible but for us to do so, we need the help of the public.

“Did you see the robbery take place or did you see the offender ride off? If you did, we are keen to hear from you.”
