THE mum of former Latics player Marc Albrighton’s partner was one of the tragic victims of the terrorist gun massacre at a Tunisian beach resort.

Sue Davey, the mother of Chloe Fulford, was confirmed over the weekend as one of the Britons to have died in the attack.

Winger Albrighton joined Latics in the 2013/14 season as a loan signing from Aston Villa under then manager Owen Coyle, making a handful of appearances.

The 25-year-old currently plays for Premier League outfit Leicester City.

His partner Chloe’s brother, Conor, had launched attempts on social media to find news of their mother, who was from Tamworth, after they had lost contact in the aftermath of the attack.

Conor’s messages were shared thousands of times on Facebook and Twitter before the family received the tragic confirmation. Ms Davey’s partner Scott Chalkley also died. Conor posted on Twitter on Saturday: “Hi everyone, sorry to tell you we lost my mother Sue Davey tonight.”
