THE families of a couple killed in a horror crash in Wigan have paid tribute to a “devoted mother” and “beloved father”.
Stephen Rigbye, 38, and his partner and passenger Agnes Parkinson, 40, were fatally injured when a black BMW 320 lost control on a bend near Mawdesley and struck a wall.

The emergency services were called to Bannister Lane, Hilldale, at 7.15am on Monday after a passer-by found the car on its roof.
It has since emerged the crash may have happened anytime between midnight and 5am.
Tributes have been paid from the pair’s families, who also released a picture of the couple.
In a statement, the Parkinson family said: “We are devastated beyond words at the tragic and sudden loss of the beloved Agnes Parkinson. She was a devoted mother, loving daughter, loyal sister and fun-loving friend and she was taken from us all too soon.
“She lived life to the fullest and touched everyone she met. She leaves behind three beautiful daughters: Twins - Anna & Sarah (18) and Scarlett (9). We would also like to send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Stephen Rigbye.
“RIP to two amazing souls - Agnes Parkinson and Stephen Rigbye.”
The Rigbye Family added: “We are devastated by the loss of Stephen Rigbye, beloved father, son, brother and friend to so many.
“He was such a kind hearted, generous man who never failed to make us smile with his humour and laughter; he will be sorely missed by all.
“The family have taken great comfort in all the kind messages and overwhelming support from everyone whose lives he touched.
“Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Agnes Parkinson who are in our thoughts and prayers.”
