FLOODING misery continued to pour on one Wigan street today.
Torrential rain across the borough meant that Beresford Street in Springfield once again fell victim to the monsoon conditions.
A passageway which runs underneath the railway bridge at the end of the street, connecting it to Miry Lane, began to swell with water and that then ran on into the street, eventually affecting one house.
Fire crews are currently at the scene busy pumping water into the nearby River Douglas.
Units from Wigan, Hindley and Bolton attended and gained permission from the water board to transfer the water.
