HEAVY showers expected for the North of England over the next two days could result in more flooding in Wigan.
Steve Moore, Environment Agency Director North West said: “The North West has experienced some severe weather over the last week, and with further rain forecast for the next few hours, we would urge the public to remain vigilant, check local weather forecasts, and the Environment Agency website for information. “
“Our thoughts are with those people whose homes and businesses have been affected by flooding. Our staff, along with local authority partners have been out working hard to provide communities with as much assistance and information as possible.”
If necessary, the Environment Agency will issue flood alerts and flood warnings. Keep track on updates via twitter @envagencynw and @envagencyyne
