RESIDENTS of a supported housing scheme in Wigan now have somewhere to sit in their garden after building their own garden shelter.
The shelter has been built from scratch by Steven Martin, Martin Parish and Grant Rostron, who are all residents at Adactus Housing Association’s scheme at Hardybutts House in Scholes.
Terri Robinson from the Supported Housing Team at Adactus said: “The residents had a plan which they completed themselves and worked from that. They have all worked really well together and have gained new skills in the process.”
Residents are now working on a makeover for the garden. Terri added: “ All residents are looking forward to growing their own vegetables.”
