POLICE are hunting two men who stole a mobile phone from a Wigan teenager.
The girl, who was uninjured during the incident, was approached and then one grabbed her by the arm and snatched her mobile while she was talking to her grandmother as she walked down Cale Lane in New Springs.
Moments earlier a car containing three men slowed down and asked her for the time.
The men turned the car around and two of them got out.
One of them grabbed hold of the girl and another grabbed her hand and prized the phone, an HTC Sensation, from her grasp.
All three men are described as being white and aged in their 20s.
One was about 5ft 7in to 5ft 9in tall, of medium build.
He had yellow stained teeth, stubble and a bald head and was wearing a black leather jacket.
The second was about 5ft 6in tall, of slim build and wore a dark jacket. Both spoke with an eastern European accent.
PC John Catterall, of Wigan police, said: “This was an audacious theft in broad daylight, from a teenage girl.”
