A SCHEME to reward Wigan shoppers has reached one year.
WiganPlus, based in The Galleries Shopping Centre, was set up last November to encourage Wigan residents to shop locally and benefit from a range of offers and discounts.
Mike Riddell, head of partnerships for WiganPlus, said: “WiganPlus arrived in Wigan one year ago, with the remit to encourage local consumers to stay and shop in the town and we are delighted that so many people who shop, work or live in Wigan have joined us.
“The scheme now has signed up many partner businesses and thousands of card holders who in the next four weeks could win exciting prizes.
“The WiganPlus management team is meeting with social groups throughout the borough and with the council to work on new ideas which will help to benefit the community as a whole.
“WiganPlus would like to thank the council as well as the management of the Grand Arcade and the Galleries who have helped so much to establish the work of WiganPlus in the town.”
