DETECTIVES investigating an arson which led to a neighbour suffering an asthma attack have released stills taken from nearby CCTV.
The offenders smashed the kitchen window to break into the house, which was under renovation, on Golborne High Street, shortly before 5.50am on Tuesday, May 31.
They searched the house and stole tools, before they started a fire in the kitchen. The blaze caused extensive damage to the kitchen and also affected the rest of the house.
Smoke spread through the roof of the terraced house. It caused a next door neighbour, a 54-year-old woman who suffers from asthma, to have an attack. She went to hospital but was discharged a short time later.
Anyone with information should call police on 0161 856 5307 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
