ENGLAND Rugby Union will be led out by Jack Johnson this Saturday, it has been announced.
The seven-year-old, who has Duchenne muscular dystrophy and is the focus of the Joining Jack charity, is hoped to be the team’s lucky charge in their huge game against Australia.
It has been arranged by Emirates, who said: “We can confirm that Jack has been chosen as one of our Emirates flag bearers and will be leading the England squad out on to the pitch at Twickenham on Saturday October 3. Jack’s dad will be carrying the flag, but they will both be proudly walking out ahead of the team.
“In 2015, Emirates will once again be supporting the Joining Jack Legends team at the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens, by taking the squad – plus mascot and rugby fan Jack – to Dubai for the three-day tournament in December.”
