OFFICERS investigating the death of Jade Anderson have confirmed the teenager died from “multiple injuries from dog bites”.
The 14-year-old Fred Longworth High pupil was found in a friend’s house at Chaucer Grove, Atherton on March 26.
Police marksmen destroyed four dogs at the scene, reported to have been two bull mastiffs and two Staffordshire bull terriers.
A spokesman for GMP told Wigan Today that a post mortem examination has now been completed but prosecutions against the owners are “unlikely”.
A statement read: “At this stage of the enquiry, we do not have anything evidentially to categorically prove a crime has been committed, therefore it is unlikely at this stage we will be seeking to bring a prosecution.”
