RUGBY league legends were among hundreds of mourners at the funeral of Wigan RL stalwart Keith Mills.
St John’s Church in New Springs was packed as friends, family and supporters bade a fond farewell to the king of the Wigan rugby league back room who died last month.
Former heroes such as Shaun Edwards, Andy Farrell, Billy Boston and Andy Gregory joined club representatives, Mr Mills’s widow Anne and son Darren for a moving service for the 68-year-old.
Mr Mills had had a wide range of roles at both Central Park and the DW Stadium and his popularity was evident with many having to listen through big speakers placed outside the church.
