Laura sings for Haiti

Singer Laura White has joined a host of world famous musicians to raise money for survivors of the Haiti earthquake.

The former X Factor contestant, left, has recorded a second charity single, a cover version of Screamin' Jay Hawkins' I Put A Spell On You, for the Haiti fund.

The single also features Shane MacGowan, The Stereophonics, Primal Scream's Bobby Gillespie, Nick Cave, Johnny Depp, pictured below, and his girlfriend Vanessa Paradis.

Laura, 22, of Atherton, said: "It is going to be a massive single. It is like a rocky version so it is different to the other song – Everybody Hurts.

"It's crazy to think I have managed to be part of an amazing thing for an amazing cause."

Laura was approached by photographer Danny Clifford, who took photos of the recording sessions. She added: "His son was a fan of my music and they got in touch. I got the call the day before I recorded my part. I have not heard the finished version but it will be really exciting."

Laura splits her time between living with her parents in Atherton and her flat in London.

She is busy recording her album and rehearsing her tour, supporting Peter Andre, which starts on February 19.

She said: "I met Peter on Loose Women. He loved my music and said he would love for me to be a part of his tour."

Laura's second single, Radio, will be out after the tour finishes, in the springtime.
