Letters to the Editor
Thanks to councillor
The snow and ice arrived on February 4 and 5 and our estate in Hindley Green was covered with snow and ice and then our saviour arrived with his spade and gravel - no not Father Christmas but our friend Coun Brierley who looks after us old age pensioners very well.

No knowledge of the taxi trade

Support for traffic comments
I AGREE and sympathise with the comments of the taxi driver regarding being compelled to turn right from King Street into Wallgate, causing yet another delay to reach one’s destination!
Protest over NHS future

Time to end scourge of the metal thieves
IT is a disgrace that metal thieves have got away with their ill-gotten gains for so long.
Stamp out this silly idea post haste...
Industry regulator Ofcom is consulting on proposals which Royal Mail executives say will allow their business to become profitable again, but which could see second class stamp prices rocket from 36p to 55p.
