Fight - Lisa Nandy MP

WIGAN’S MP has vowed to fight housing benefit cuts.

Recent Parliamentary Questions put to the Housing Minister by Lisa Nandy revealed that 24,550 housing benefit claimants across the borough are set to lose at least £10 per week.

She said: “This change will hit the poorest and most vulnerable people and families in our community, families across Wigan will find themselves out of pocket to the tune of £550 per year.”

Miss Nandy’s parliamentary questions have revealed that Ministers have made no assessment of the impact these changes will have on low income families.
