Brothers deny murder
Dylan Aaron
TWO brothers have denied murdering a Wigan teenager whose body was found in a pond.
Dylan Aaron’s corpse was recovered from the water in Hindley on the morning of Sunday May 30 hours after police were called to reports of an assault.
David McGrail, 34, and Drew McGrail, 26, both of Lancaster Avenue, Hindley, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court via video link equipment from Altcourse prison.
They both pleaded not guilty to a charge of murder.
David McGrail also denied assaulting Daniel Bagnall, causing actual bodily harm on the same date.
They were further remanded in custody to await their trial, expected to last two weeks, beginning on December 1.
Greater Manchester police were called to Deep Pit off Hemfield Road shortly after 3.50am following reports of an assault.
Witnesses reported that Dylan, 17, of Margaret Street, Hindley, had gone into the water and had not been seen for some time.
An underwater search team recovered his body from the water at 8.05am.
