Jordan heading to Wigan
Glamour model Katie Price - aka Jordan - is heading to Wigan.
The star will be at equestrian superstore Derby House in Wrightington on November 17 signing copies of her My Pony Care Book.
The beauty has carved out a successful second career as an author.
Mad about horses since childhood, she has already produced a best-seller aimed at similarly obsessed girls called Katie Price's Perfect Ponies.
But keen not to have all her irons in one fire she is also now famed for bringing out her own range of perfume, lingerie and jewellery.
In the new book, released in time for Christmas, she shares her knowledge of looking after ponies in a fun way that youngsters will understand.
And the star of I'm a Celebrity and Katie and Peter: Unleashed, will be at the Mossy Lea Lane store from 1pm on the Saturday to sign copies.
She said: "I first had a riding lesson at the age of seven, and I became completely horse-mad and longed for a pony of my own.
When I was 11 my mum let me have my first pony on loan and to this day, I've owned several horses and ponies.
"My Pony Care Book is packed with my special pony tips, advice on how to look after a pony, different ways a young rider and their pony can have fun together plus lots of fun horsey things to make to brighten up any pony's day."
Katie will also be joined by members of the British Eventing Pony Team who won both Team and Individual Gold at this year's European Championships held in Germany.
The Pony Team will be at the shop from 10.30am to sign autographs and answer any questions that Wigan's aspiring junior jockeys might have about what it takes to be a champion rider.
Derby House staff are expecting Katie and the Pony Team's visit to be very busy and are encouraging visitors to arrive early and make a day of it.
