Man injured as car pins him against wall

A WIGAN man was seriously injured when a car was deliberately reversed into him pinning him against a wall and lamp-post.

Police investigating the incident in Platt Bridge in the early hours of Satudurday morning have appealed to the two men involved to come forward.

The victim had met the men during a night out to celebrate his 21st birthday. They gave him lift home but following an argument one of the men reversed the silver Vauxhall Astra into him before the pair drove off.

Police were called to Millers Lane in Platt Bridge shortly after 3.20am

The injured man was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition

Detective Chief Inspector Howard Millington said: “If you think you know who is responsible I want to hear from you.

“I would also urge the two men to come forward before we come knocking on your door”.

Anyone with information should call Wigan CID on 0161 856 5307 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
