Road blocked

MOTORISTS have been diverted from road in Standish which has been blocked off after a lorry collided with a bridge.

The incident happened at 6.40am this morning (Tuesday) after the vehicle struck the top of a disused railway bridge in Rectory Lane, Standish.

The driver was unhurt but police cordoned off the road as a clean-up operation took place.

It has not affected rail services.
