A THIRTEEN-year-old boy has died just a week after being struck down by a mystery illness.

Jason Turner-Harris died suddenly on Friday after suffering from a sickness bug. He went into a coma last Monday and despite the efforts of medical staff, never regained consciousness.

His heartbroken family today paid tribute to Jason, a pupil of Shevington High School, describing him as “one in a million” and said thank you to hundreds of people who have left tributes and messages to him.

Parents Elaine and Mark say tributes left on a Facebook page, which has gathered around 900 members since he died, have been a great comfort to them.

Speaking from the family home in Harswell Close, Orrell, mum Elaine said: “He was so loveable. We use the term one in a million because that is exactly what he was.”
