Woman admits reckless arson

A Wigan woman has admitted starting a house fire being reckless as to whether life was endangered.

Michelle Roughley pleaded guilty at Liverpool Crown Court to damaging a door and carpet at a house in Loch Street, Pemberton, Wigan, on July 10 this year being reckless as to whether the life of Karen Roughley was endangered.

Roughley, of Stanley Road, Up Holland, was further remanded on bail to enable a pre-sentence report for January 19.
