GENEROUS bikers enjoyed a taste of life in the fast lane to raise money and help feed Wigan’s homeless during the festive season.

Motorcyclists from the Two Wheels Ride-Out track day, which is held at the Three Sisters racing circuit in Bryn, presented a cheque for £400 to homeless charity The Brick to pay for a Christmas meal for those without a roof over their heads.

The ride-outs have raised almost £8,000 for good causes in 2013, with other beneficiaries including Blood Bikers North West, which provides a high-speed medical courier service and received £1,400, the Wigan Sea Cadets, Bamber Court mother and children’s centre, junior sports clubs and residents’ groups across the borough.

The Three Sisters track days, organised by treasurer and motorcycle enthusiast Bob Brierley, allow bikers to enjoy exploring the potential of their road machines in a safe environment.
